Green Dot Public Schools has thrived through community partnerships and the generosity of individual philanthropists. Our long-time partner, Oscar De La Hoya, Olympic gold medalist, and seven-time world boxing champion, is dedicated to transforming public education in Los Angeles. In 2003, De La Hoya worked with Green Dot Public Schools to open Oscar De La Hoya Ánimo Charter High School in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles - the first new high school there in more than 60 years.
